the fairy chair (2025)

For my third year New Media studio at Toronto Metropolitan University I wanted to challenge myself by designing and building a chair.

I wanted the design to contrast from modern plain and boring cheaply made furniture on the market. Leaning into whimsical design that is built to last. I landed on the idea to make the chair resemble a large flower so that sitting in it you feel like a little fairy sitting on a flower petal. I 3D modeled the project in Fusion 360 and CNC cut the base of the chair and the back of the cusions. Than I had to stain the wood, add some supports and upholster the chair before finally assembling the final product.

oh it's you - eyes on me (2025)

As an extension of my project Oh, It’s You I wanted to move the model of my head and have projections move with it.

I took my 3D printed head attaching it to a servo than sending my servo data into Touchdesigner to manipulate a virtual version of the 3D scan so that it will spin at the same rate as the servo. I than projected this visual onto the head as it spins. I wanted the visual on the head to be distorted eyeballs, as a nod to how I feel as a young artist whos not sure where to turn. Yet wherever I turn there are eyes on me and the things I create and present into the world.

DOG HEAD PROP (2024)

I was brought on to the student film Cerberus to create a hyper realistic roasted dog head for a scene where a dog is roasted over a spit.

I printed a life size anatomic skull of the dog breed I was recreating as a base for my sculpt. Than using foam clay, paint, liquid latex, fake glass eyes and coffee grounds I created the look of a charred dog head. In charge of this specialty prop I also mounted and colour matched the prop on set for the most accurate colour match with the rest of the meat on the spit.

heart prop (2024)

For this project I wanted to explore creating realistic gore effects combining my love for prop making and robotics.

I chose to create an anatomical heart sculpture made with paint and foam clay. I placed the sculpture in a box with the robotic components to cover them. Mounting the heart on a servo with a piston so that it can move up and down towards the camera and give the illusion of the heart beating.
